ArticleID: 10112 Title: How To Specify the Movie Player on Mac OS X iFlix uses your operating system to open / play Flix. This means that whatever program you have associated with a particular file type, iFlix should launch that program. The default for most movie files (.mov, .avi) is QuickTime. All you need to do to change this, for example so that MPlayer or VLC opens .avi files is: #1 Locate a .avi file in the finder and choose get info... #2 In the info dialog, expand the "Open with:" tab, and either choose MPlayer, etc. or choose Other..., locate MPlayer, and then use the "Change All" button... This will tell your computer to open all .avi files using MPlayer instead of QuickTime. Return to the Knowledge Base Index Close this window |
